bangs
immediately after seeing the future i went out to get my hair cut like miranda july.
i have bangs now. they aren’t in my eyes or anything—they just brush the top of my eyebrows and are very, very curly.
i see them when i fold laundry, or when i’m cooking dinner. i see them when i’m drawing and when i’m reading. they catch snowflakes and keep my forehead warm.

took a trip
to cleveland, OH this weekend—and it was pretty marvelous. now it’s time to really buckle down, get ready for the holidays, and get my artist statement and drawing II syllabus done.
in addition, of course, to procrastinating by cleaning and organizing the apartment.

– Hillary Clinton, in an appearance at the United Nations yesterday, declared that it is a “violation of human rights” to commit violence or discrimination against people because of their sexual orientation. WATCH. (via theatlantic)

crying sunday
finishing up the tree of life. now time for what will probably be a less than joyous (though still incredible) episode of the wire.
